摘要
Inactivated, multivalent vaccine for active admin. against at least Newcastle disease and the decline in egg-laying caused by adeno-like virus (ALV) is new. Esp. it is derived from =1 supernatant liq. contg. ALV obtd. by culturing virus strain 127 which has been subjected to passaging. The vaccine contains an oily phase of (a) =1 light paraffin mineral oil (FDA quality), vegetable oil or naphthenic oil and (b) =1 emulsifier e.g. nonionic surfactant obtd. from alkylene oxides, hexahydroxy alcohols and/or 10-20C natural fatty acids as their esters or ester-ethers. ALV strain 127 which has been passaged and Newcastle disease virus (NDV) L/Z 258P are new strains (Pasteur Institute numbers I.O. 90 and I.O. 91 respectively). The vaccine is administered to 10-20 week old birds before egg-laying starts. There are no mutual inhibitions between the vaccine components and a smaller dose is needed compared with 2 separate vaccines (0.5 ml. against 1 ml.).
