The skittle alley has at least one guide channel (4) for badly aimed balls which borders the main running surface (2) on the side and is positioned lower relative to it. This channel (4) is formed by separate hollow profile rods which adjoin at their ends and which include several connecting channels (11, 12, 13) offset relative to each other in a transverse direction with coupling bolts (5) fitting through their ends. The channel has an upwardly projecting ledge (8) on the outer side, connected to an inner and lower border ledge (9) by a part cylindrical guide bowl (6). The guide bowl is greater than the diameter of the largest ball being used by between 7 and 12%.
