Heat pump with theoretically zero power consumption - where silicone rubber elastic band is stretched in one environment and relaxed in another

The heat pump has a theoretically nil power external energy consumption in transferring heat from a reservoir at lower temp to one at higher temp. An elastic material, whose specific heat varies with applied force, is used simultaneously as a heat store and heat conductor, it passes slowly and continuously in a circuit through the lower and higher heat reservoirs, it is relaxed when in the lower and stressed in the higher reservoir. It does not convert mechanical work of a compressor into heat i.e. the work done in changing its volume is virtually recovered and it is therefore virtually an ideal machine.
