The double diode has a common cathode. This cathode is in the form of a zone (2) of the first conduction type, with anode zones (4, 5) of the second conduction type formed in it. Edges of the anode zones (4, 5) are at least in parts parallel to each other, and the first conduction type zone (2) is contacted by at least one surface zone (3a, 3b) of the same conduction type. It surrounds at least in part the anode zones (4, 5).
