Crimping yarn to alter stretch on breaking value - esp. for automobile safety belts, between beam and loom

Crimping appts. for altering the stretch on breaking value of warp threads, is positioned between the beam and the weaving frame. The installation has at least one feed and one delivery roller assembled in a frame and fitted with a driving transmission. Arrangement is used in the mfr. of automobile safety belts having a piping woven along their edges for the comfort of the user. The device occupies much less space, partic., than those placed between the creel and the beaming frame. The prodn. of special beams is made unnecessary, since the crimp applied to the outside warp threads can be varied as required.
