The jet (1) has a neck part (2) for connection to the extinguisher operating valve and a head part (3). The extinguishing agent leaves the jet through a narrow bore (4) enlarging into a large bore (5). The ratio of the smaller bore cross section to the larger one is 1:5 to 1:12 while the lengths of the bores are irrelevant. The part (5) of the bore is divided into three segments by twisted partitions (7). Each partition is twisted around the axis (6) by 60 deg. and overlaps the cross section of the adjacent segment by half.
