The bed of the track is formed by two rows of plates, where the plates in one row are staggered w.r.t. the plates in the other row. All the plate contain an oval track formed by a groove and contg. balls. The workpieces rest on trays which travel through the kiln on the balls, which roll round the oval tracks during the transport of the trays. The invention ensures that the balls are at a relatively constant temp. in their respective parts of the kiln, and is an improvement on the conveyor track described in DT22220392, in which the balls roll right through the kiln and are then carried back to the kiln inlet.
