Washing machine planetary gear drive - has brake controlling the washing and spinning speeds released at spinning speed by helical coil spring

Washing machine drive as described in the parent patents is modified to further simplify the control of the speed change-over brake which is engaged with a fly-wheel at the lower washing speed and disengaged at the higher spinning speed. The brake is maintained in the engaged position by a helical coil spring whose bias at the higher speed is nullified by =1 centrifugal wt. Brake is associated with a centrifugal clutch of which the wt. is a part.
