The safety device prevents drivers from entering motorways, or other single or multi-lane roads with separate carriageways, in the wrong direction. On one side of the exit lane, at least, a dummy policeman is erected, facing the opposite way to the exit direction, pref. at the furthest end. There may be several such figures, in staggered positions on both sides. They can be flat and made of plastic. A raised arm can contain a reflector and a light.
