Frame marker for film editor - has self locating cutter for marking centre of frame

A marker for a cine film editor has a self locating slider (5) which locates two sprocket holes and aligns a cutter (9) at one edge of the film, in the middle of a frame. This provides a frame marking without damaging the spaces alongside the frame, which form splicing edges on subsequent editing. The system allows accurate frame marking without damaging splicing edges. The cutting edge is pushed into the film by manual pressure, when the locating slider has been moved into the sprocket holes. If the film is displaced then the slider cannot be depressed, blocking the action of the cutter.
