The machine incorporates a cylindrical rotary belt (3) inside which there can be a cylindrical ejector (7) running at a linear velocity nearly that of the strainer. A removal device (5) can be mounted inside the belt and there can be inlet and outlet conveyor belts running over small diameter shafts. There can be a fixed apron below the grille forming the belt to aid the positioning of the items to be calibrated. There can be several belts in series, sorting the items into a number of different sizes.
