An under-collar may be made of a band of supple, elastic material, about 50 cm long and 2-5 cm wide, and may be provided along its length with fastener elements, and a 'Velcro' (RTM) closure system at one end. It is placed around the neck on the lower part of the collar, before turning down the end of the collar, to offer a pleasing appearance by flattening the collar against the wearer's neck. The undercollar may be adjusted by tightening or loosening as required. The collar of the pull-over may be rolled once or twice, according to its length, before turning it down over the under collar.
