435,869. Sliding - clasp fastenings. SUSSKIND, A., 287G, Konigsdamm, Siemensstadt, Berlin. April 3, 1934, No. 10121. Convention date, March 31, 1933. [Class 44] For the production of sliding-clasp fasteners appropriate lengths are cut off from a length of material fitted with the usual interlocking elements each of which elements is provided with means for the attachment of a limit stop member d to retain the slider and for the attachment of a connecting member a to form the permanently closed end of the fastener. The stop member d shown in Fig. 10 has a split-pin shank with pips k to retain it when inserted through openings in the topmost one or two elements on one stringer. The end connecting member a shown in Fig. 9 has a split-pin shank with retaining indentations i which is inserted through openings in the bottom elements on the two stringers ; a raised portion b maintains these elements parallel. The openings in the elements may be formed by a punching action which at the same time forms the interlocking projection and recess on the element.
