Derailleur reduction gear for bicycle - in which laterally sliding hub effects chain movement using two controls to give all functions

The transmission reduction gear, combined with a chain derailleur moves the chain on two groups of pinions. Movement of the chain is effected by a laterally sliding hub. Alignment remains correct with all opposed pinions in all positions. A support carries all the parts and the controls give synchronisation of transmission movement and chain movement on the sliding hub. A base frame, raised to the rear, frees the chain towards the drive pinions. The rigid support is under the pedal housing in a prolongation of the diagonal tube to give wheel clearance.
