Elastic protector for quay from boat impact - has hollow tubular section and is bolted to quay wall

The protector (2) has an internal diameter half its external diameter and has non-slip coefficient of friction external strips (9, 11) between it and the quay wall (1) and facing the boat. The protector is held in place by a longitudinal tube (3) which fits into a recess in the interior diameter of the protector, the proector thickness at the recess being less affected by the force of a boat impacing than the exterior wall. A threaded shaft (4) is grouted into a deep hole drilled into the quay wall and a screw nut (5) tightens the horizontal tube and hence the protector to the wall.
