The prod. contains in an appropriate cosmetic vehicle a bipolymer consisting of moieties of formula (I): In (I), R1 is 10-18C alkyl; R2 is opt. amino substd. 1-4C alkyl and the molar ratio of Ia to Ib is 1:1. Hair prods. are lacquers, setting lotions, dyeing compsns., shampoos, combing out and brushing prods. etc. and pref. make-up prods. are nail varnishes. Compared with previous cpds. having a lower alkyl as R1, the above have a better lacquering power and are easily removed by shampooing.
