The present invention relates to a detergent composition containing an anionic surface active agent, imidobissulfate of the general formula ##EQU1## (in which M represents cation selected from the group consisting of sodium ion, potassium ion and ammonium ion) and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of sodium nitrilotriacetate and sodium citrate.
