ENGINE NOISE REDUCTION DEVICE FOR CONSTRUCTION VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To prevent light substances handled by a construction vehicle from rising up by exhausting the air from engine room which shall be transmitting noises to above the vehicle by the action of a noise absorbing grill itself. CONSTITUTION:Noise absorbing louvers 16 are installed on a frame 14 in such an arrangement that each of them has its force edge 34 situated higher than its back edge 36. Thereby, an air exhaust conduct 42 is formed with a gap between two adjoining louvers 16, 16, being directed up aslant toward the head of the vehicle. Accordingly, the noise transmitting air exhausted out of the engine room by the cooling fan is not sent toward the head of the vehicle but, first, against the louvers 16 through a noise absorbing grill 10 and, after reduced there with its speed and noise level, is exhausted through the conduit 42 to above the vehicle. The noise transmitting air exhausted out of the noise absorbing grill 10 will not, therefore, raise up ligut substances in front of the grill 10 such as dust coal or chips being treated by this vehicle.
