WELDING METHOD FOR COOLING PIPE AND TUBE PLATE IN CONDENSER

PURPOSE:To provide sound weld by a method wherein the cooling pipe is fixed to the tube plates by expanding the pipe, those parts of the pipe protruding beyond the surfaces of the tube plates are cut away and then the pipe is welded to the tube plates. CONSTITUTION:The cooling pipe 2 is fixed to the tube plates 3a, 3b by expanding the pipe 2, those parts of the pipe 2 protruding beyond the tube plates 3a, 3b are cut away and then the pipe 2 is welded to the tube plates 3a, 3b. Accordingly, even when large deflections are present on the surfaces of the tube plates 3a, 3b, the ends of the pipe 2 can be held flush with the surface of the tube plate and sound weld can be obtained.
