PURPOSE:To prepare an expanded food, by crushing grains, polishing the crushed grain until the sharp edges of the particle are rounded, and expanding the particles. CONSTITUTION:Grains such as buckwheat, wheat, etc. are crushed pref.to 7-30 mesh particles, and polished with a rice cleaning machine until the sharp edges produced by the crushing are rounded. The polished particles are expanded by high- pressure heat extrusion process. EFFECT:Grains hard to expand, e.g. buckwheat, wheat, etc., can be easily expanded.
