Stylographic pen ink control system - has ink injection tube connecting reservoir to nip and capillary ink buffer unit in lower pen end

The ink-control system for a pen comprises an ink-injection tube connecting the reservoir to the nib, and a capillary ink-buffer unit in the lower end of the pen collecting ink sprayed from the tube. At least the greater part of the system is capillary. When in use, part at least of the ink delivered by the nib can be drawn from the buffer unit, there being a resistance to ink flow between reservoir and nib greater than that to the ink flowing out of the buffer unit. The capillary size of the tube can be such as to build up a vacuum in the reservoir during use, restricting the flow from it.
