The conveyor is for non-cohesive material in powdery or granular form, particularly animal fodder, having a passage containing a sliding rope to which radially-protruding components are fixed at regular intervals, and guided through one or more curves by freely-rotating drums round whose periphery it passes. The periphery of the drum is formed by a succession of supports (16) for the rope (21) between the components (22), and which alternate with recesses (18) accommodating the latter. Thus both the rope and the components are supported for the full length of the curve round which they pass.
