GRIFFIN MULTIPLE LAYERED CONNECTORA B S T R A C TA connector for a printed wiring board wherein a portionof a multiple layered cable extends into the connector housingand comprises a plurality of stepped layers each of whichcomprises a plurality of contacts. The end of the printed wiringboard which is inserted into such connector also comprises aplurality of stepped layers each of which comprises a pluralityof contacts. The stepped layers and rows of contacts of theconnector mate with the stepped layers and rows of contacts ofthe printed wiring board to effect an electrical interfacebetween the connector and board.
