The construction of a chain clip for a stentor, partic. for orienting film material, has profiled wires as the running and guide rails. The distance holding bars are shaped according to the profile of the wires, so that they can be moved along and secured in the straight section of the pathway of the chain carrier. They are also able to slide round the curved and direction-change sections of the chain carrier. The design ensures that the clip rollers can travel easily on their guide and support surfaces without hindrance and noise, in an assembly which can be installed and maintained easily. It is also lightweight, and requires less material in its construction.
