Steam boiler using ash fuel - has flue gas freed of fly-ash and fed to fuel pulverising and drier

The steam generating plant burns fuel with a high inert content e.g. ash. The plant has flue-gas air preheaters, fly-ash removal equipment and fuel pulverisers-cum-driers. Ancillary equipment provides for extraction of noxious elements from the flue gas. The fuel pulverisers are supplied with all the flue gas leaving the fly-ash extractor. On completion of the preparatory processes, the pulverised fuel plus the gas flows to separating plant. From there preheated-air-fed injectors carry the fuel to the boiler while an induced-draught fan transports the gas to the chimney.
