Rows of seats or standing places, pref. at different levels, have components mounted on supports, esp. in a telescopic stage unit. There are movable bottom pieces permitting extension or retraction as required. The stage has air cushion assemblies located on it, so that an air cushion adequate for movement is available in relation to the setting-up surface. They can be designed to produce a film of air between a smooth base surface and the smooth outflow surface of the assembly or they can generate a circular current of air. Even in the collapsed depositing position this can easily be moved with min. effort in any direction, without damage to base surfaces.
