A turbine flowmeter consists of a turbine vane ring (2) and rotor (3) arranged in series in the direction of flow inside a housing (1). The vol. flow is derived from the speed-dependent turbine revolution rate and the housing flow resistance. It can be calibrated or adjusted separately from, and independently of, the flow channel section into which it is inserted. This facilitates the replacement of worn moving parts. For this purpose the axial separation of the vane ring and rotor are adjustable. A baffle vane ring (5) mounted downstream of the rotor (3) carries the bearing (6) for one end of the rotor shaft (3a) whose other end fits in a bearing (4) in the rigidly mounted vane ring. One of the bearings is an axially adjustable axial pressure bearing with an adjustment screw (7).
