The lamp arrangement assists in eliminating driving errors by having no amber colour showing at the turn indicators unless the appropriate lamp is lit. The lamo filament (12) is at the focal point of a parabolic reflector (10). Filter screens (15,21,22,23) provide the amber light when the lamo (24) is lit. In front of the reflector ooening, and inside the lens cover (19), is a series of strio elements (16) with mirror surfaces on each side. These elements are angled at 45 degrees to the reflector axis, and hence to the direction of the reflected light beams (25). With the lamp lit, amber light is emitted from the assembly by reflection through the mirrors. With the lamp off the assembly appears, from the outside, as an untinted lamp.
