Highly efficient bulb-shaped ballast-integrated LED lamps replacing incandescent lamps for general lighting

The progress of light emitting diode (LED) in luminous efficacy has been made extremely rapid, and the luminous output for one package of LED has also much more increased in these several years. Thus, the bulb-shaped ballast-integrated LED lamps, emitting total luminous flux of several-hundred-lumens, have been realized to replace incandescent lamps (ILs). In our developed LED lamps, the maximum value of the luminous efficacy reaches 93 lm/W, which already exceeds those of ballast-integrated compact fluorescent lamps (BCFLs).
