The solar heating unit (1) for a power generator comprises a hollow chamber with an opening (2) through which radiation enters and an opening (3) through which the heated air is extracted (8) from the chamber to pass through a heat exchanger (5). The outlet of the exchanger connects to a return line (7) which contains a blower (8). Nozzles (10), arranged adjacent to the irradiation opening at least partly connect (9) to the return line and produce an air curtain across this opening. Part of the return flow (7) may be blown out into the open. The blower speed may be controlled via an anemometer (19) signal (18).
