The solar medium such as a mixture of water and glycol is heated in the collector (1) through solar radiation and then pumped round to the heat exchanger or specially developed refrigerating coil for supplying hot or cold air into the room to be acclimatized. The heating element can be used as the cooling element by switching over a valve.
