The heat energy distribution and utilisation system comprises a circulation circuit containing a heat-transfer medium, such as water, a heat source, one or more consumer units and a service water boiler, together with a circulating pump. On the primary side, the boiler (18) is divided by a partition (23,25) into vertical portions (26,27), the partition allowing alternate heat-energy exchange only under pressure. The lower portion (27) is connected to the heater (1,5) and to the consumer units (10,12,17) in series. The upper portion is contained in a special heating circuit (30,31).
