Shaped articles having a velvety surface are produced by first coating article surface with a primer, then with an adhesive and finally electrostatically flocking with a fibre material. Novelty consists in using articles consisting of (A) 95-50 pts.wt. isotactic polypropylene or propylene copolymers with up to 10 wt.% ethylene, (B) 5-50 pts.wt. rubbery copolymers miscible with polypropylene and (C) 10-50 pts.wt. reinforcing fillers. Flocked article use for car interior fittings and as instrument panels is claimed. The articles can also be used in the home, for window displays and in toy mfr. Flock adhesion is sufficiently high to allow deep-drawing of the flocked articles.
