Plastic article having a structured surface comprises a plastic substrate, an adhesive layer and a foil- or textile layer. Novelty consists of using a plastic substrate compsn. contg., by wt., (A) 95-50 parts isotactic polypropylene or propylene copolymers with up to 10 wt.% ethylene, (B) 5-50 parts elastomeric polypropylene-miscible copolymers; and (C) 10-50 parts reinforcing fillers. The articles are produced by coating article surface first with primer, then with adhesive and subsequently either (i) lining with a plastic foil or textile, adhesive-coated on reverse, by a deep-drawing process, or (ii) electrostatically flocking with a fibre material, before hardening of adhesive. The articles are used in car interiors, e.g. for instrument panels and upholstery, etc., for domestic furniture and objects, window-displays, toys, hair-curlers, containers. Surface-layer adhesion is sufficiently high to allow shaping by deep-drawing.
