Insecticidal and acaricidal 1,2,4-triazole derivs. - prepd. by reaction of a 3-benzyl:thio-1,2,4-triazole deriv. with a di:methyl-carbamoyl halide

1-Dimethylcarbamoyl 3-benzylthio-1,2,4-triazole derivs. (Ia) and 1-dimethylcarbamoyl 5-benzylthio-1,2,4-triazole derivs. (Ib) are new. X is -CO-N(CH3)2 R1 is isopropyl, s-butyl, t-butyl, or opt. methyl-substd. cyclopropyl; and R2 and R3 are H, halogen, or CH3. Also new are intermediates of formula (I)a where X is H. (Ia,b) are pesticides, esp. insecticides and acaricides. They show good systemic and contact activity against sucking insects, e.g. Hornoptera, esp. aphids.
