The control circuit has a magnetically-controlled compressor coupling (7) and a thermostatically controlled switch (6) associated with this coupling. A first control switch (5) controls the power of the motor (3) that drives the cooler ventilator. A resistor (8) is connected in series with the first control switch and the motor and reduces the power consumed by the motor. A second control switch (2) also controls the power of the motor. A second thermostatically controlled switch (1) controls the operation of the second control switch. The two control switches are relays. The resistor (8) is variable.
