The tractor has thrust elements which can move to the rear to avoid overturning when obstacles are met on the ground. The elements are moved driver controlled, by a cable (18) or in response to inclination of the tractor. The thrust elements move longitudinally and they are pivoted on the chassis on a horizontal axis, at the rear, below the driven wheels. The front wheel fork (7) is mounted with some longitudinal play. This play is used to initiate thrust element movement by an electrical contact.
