The system receives a luminous beam from a variable direction. Two parallel mirrors providing multiple reflections and refractions depending on the angle of incidence allow the optical system to provide an output when a partic. angle of incidence is present. The appts. has two completely reflecting mirrors which are strictly parallel. A control knob and a cross lever system enable the spacing to be adjusted precisely. The casing is extended by a tube of adjustable length and houses the sighting system comprising a lens and iris. The received beam is reflected and refracted by the mirror to be received by a photo detector whose position is adjusted by a screw. A transparent section of casing allows the beam to emerge while electronic amplification and comparison enable an alarm to be activated.
