METHOD AND APPARATUS OF EXECUTION PATH CAREER DATA PICKUP FOR ARCHITECTURE PROGRAM

PURPOSE:To enable to pick up an execution path career data with a minimized overhead, by providing a machine instruction which takes its identification number or code as allocated data of the execution path career, to a break point of a block structure of a program. CONSTITUTION:An operand set with a block identification number BN is provided to a break point of each block construction of an architecture program as a machine instruction taking the identification number or code as the allocation data of an execution path career, e.g., as an OPCODE as a PROVE(=150). Further, when a processor 44 sequentially executes this program and if a PROVE instruction appears, the switching state of a suppression switch 48 of an execution trace is discriminated (flag discrimination), and if the execution is required, this is executed, and if not required, the next instruction is picked up and executed. When the PROVE instruction is executed, the program identification number during execution is added to the identification number BN at the operand in a register 46 and stored 52 as a path career data PBN.
