IMPROVEMENT OF COAL BUNKER TYPE CONTINUOUS COMBUSTION EQUIPMENT FOR PULVERIZED COAL

PURPOSE:To facilitate the heating of heat source body and enable to start the combustion in a short time by a method wherein a heating element mechanism by electric power is built in the heat source body for carbonization in the equipment in which the cast iron heat source body for carbonization is heated beforehand at the start of combustion so as to be able to continuously burn the pulverized coal after passing the periphery of the heat source body. CONSTITUTION:The pulverized coal is stored within a coal bunker 1 with a cone shape bottom, blower which the heat source body 2 for carbonization comprised with a cone 21 placed on a truncated cone 22 having a cavity at its center is provided. The heat source body 2 is constituted with the heating element mechanims by electric power (not shown) built therein and heated by the feeding of electric current. The pulverized coal is flowed out by gravity from the outlet at the lower part of the coal bunker 1 so that the coal is flowed down contacting with the periphery of the heated heat source body 2 for carbonization. In the manner mentioned above, the pulverized coal is heated and thermally decomposed due to carbonization into semicoke, tar gas, coal gas and the like. Then, while the gasified constituents are led to a combustion chamber 5 for gases, the semicoke is flowed down into a combustion chamber 3 for solid matter to be burnt respectively within the combustion chambers 5 and 3.
