Polishing machine for spiral cut faces - uses adjustment of motor and polishing disc and of workpiece carrier turntable to obtain any polishing angle

The machine has a frame with a vertical upright to which the electric polishing motor and the polishing disc(s) are attached to face in a required direction. The bottom of the frame has a tool holder support plate which can also be angled in various directions by clamping it in a required position relative to a horizontal shaft which is in turn axially adjustable. The shaft bearing forms part of a turntable which is rotatable about a vertical axis through 360 degrees and clamped in any required angular position. The electric motor with the polishing disc(s) are attached to a horizontal carriage adjusted towards and away from the workpiece along a vertical carriage. The latter can be vertically adjusted between fixed limits relative to the upright. The machine is designed to allow the polishing disc to be set at any angle relative to the workpiece.
