A sealing test device has a pressure source which can be connected to the device under test via a test conductor and test connection and a measurement device for measurement of pressure losses in the device under test. It is more accurate and safer in operation than conventional arrangements. The pressure medium source consists of one or more reservoirs (23,24) for the pressure medium which can be supplied with the medium from a generator via a first shutoff valve (7) until a predefined pressure is reached. The test conductors (11,12) contain a second shutoff valve, a throughput measurement device, and a third shutoff valve (14). The pressure medium source is connected to the test connection via a fourth valve (9) and the throughput meter has an associated display (22).
