Panels or mouldings are made from several layers of pressed fibre-reinforced, esp. glass fibre-reinforced plastics mats, The continuously produced mat is cut to lengths or blanks, these are stacked to the desired thickness and hot-pressed, at least to the polymerisation temperature of the plastics, to form the desired panel. The mat comprises, on one side of the fibrous bed material (10), a resin of comparatively high reactivity and high viscosity and on the other side, a different resin of comparatively low reactivity and low viscosity. In stacking the mats, faces of high and low viscosity are brought into contact. Delamination, formation of voids and non-smooth surfaces are avoided.
