The bench is used for prestressing concrete by embedded cables. It comprises two base units (1, 2) of reinforced concrete, one each end, joined together by longitudinal beams (4) of similar construction. The mould support slab (5) is also made from reinforced concrete and rests on flexible joints (6) on the base beams. The upper face of the mould slab is provided with metal angle strips over the longitudinal edges, retained by flat cross spacers. A cable head (8) at each end is held between the base unit and the mould slab, contacting the former at its base and the latter at its top.
