Industrialised system for house building - uses lightweight reinforced concrete wall panels bolted to posts set in trough section toe rails

The industrialized building system utilises relatively small standard wall panels and components which are site bolted to a framework of vertical posts. The post bases are received in a trough section member (2) which is mounted on an in situ concrete strip footing. Post modules (1) are of storey height, vertically successive modules being fixed by means of a stirrup type fitting which is bolted to the head of the lower unit. The stirrup fitting may comprise a horizontal plate from which two vertical angle irons project, the base of the succeeding post module being fixed between the angle irons by two through bolts at vertical intervals.
