Adjustable light alloy suspension arm - has arm adjustments via torsion bar and internal friction damping

The arm is used for the suspension of materials and vehicles. It works in steps to give a cycle composed of torsion and flexure. It is made of material of appropriate elasticity with internal friction to damp vibrations. The damping is given by embedding a lever balancing the other components. A suspension arm is used, with limited vertical displacement obtained by a stop (7). The material used is aluminium alloy. A torsion bar (1) is chassis fixed and the arm (2) is embedded in a shoe (3). The lever arm (5) adjusts the arms.
