Multiple channel ink jet chart recorder - permits full width pen movement by voltage control without time offsets

A multiple channel chart recorder has a pen arrangement with a writing arm for each channel. Each arm has a pen movable over the entire width of the recording plane. This is achieved without introducing a time offset between the measurement graphs of the different channels. Each pen consists of an ink gun with a spray nozzle. The guns (11-16) are activated piezoelectrically. Their nozzles are oriented radially to an axis lying in the recording plane (10) and perpendicular to the time axis. When the ink guns are in the null position the spray nozzle outlets lie on an arc of a circle with a dia. of approximately 3 to 4 mm. The entire process of writing is voltage controlled and practically free of wear.
