Testing stand for springs - uses shaft with series cams to permit simultaneous adjustment of travel of multiple springs

The test rig includes a rotating shaft with a series of cams acting on the springs under test, and a device for simultaneously adjusting the travel of all the springs by modifying the axial position of all the cams at the beginning of each test. Each is mounted on an eccentric fixed on the shaft. The adjusting device alters the angular position of the cam in relation to the eccentric. To adjust the position of the cam (2), another shaft is rotated. This shaft rotates further pinions (7) freely rotating around the main shaft (1). The freely rotating pinions via a set of shaft mounted pinions are mechanically connected to the cams which thus rotate around their eccentrics.
