The conveyor is for drying masses of various materials, particularly non-hygroscopic ones. The material is subjected to simultaneous friction and compression during continuous helicoidal movement. The compression is increased progressively. There is a hollow, open, perforated body (1) with a rotating feed screw (9). One end of the body connects with a feed hopper (4) and the other end is closed by a flap (12), worked by an actuator (14). This actuator is controlled by a pressure regulator (15). There can be a fine grille (2) inside the body. The screw has variable pitch and diameter.
