The posture correction device for a young child is worn as a napkin and is designed to correct a deformation in the region of the hips. A broad supporting zone (2) extends between an upper strip (8) and lower strip. The upper strip is bent in the manner of a belt and its ends (9) are joined at the front. The ends (13,14) of the lower strip are joined at the back, and enclose between them a vertical back supporting strip (10). The supporting zone carries a reinforcing strip (3) between its curved sides (6,7) and mounted at the centre is an absorbent pad (15). Alternative designs use central supporting pads which extend towards the back.
